Ahmed here...

Hello, My name is Ahmed Shaker and I am a communication engineer besides being an amateur photographer.

Photography is just a hobby for me, it started in an early age by using the one-button Kodak film cameras until year 93 when I bought my first film SLR “Minolta Dynax” and started practicing the professional equipment.

I kept on using my Minolta for approximately 15 years then changed to Nikon DSLRs, starting with D90 and now using D7100. I am using Nikon equipment for my shots because I believe in Nikon more than the other products, as they are specialists only in photography. (Maybe I am right, maybe I am wrong).

My photography interests include, but not limited to Landscape, Travel, People, Children, Wildlife, and Nature.

Developing my skills started by some tips from two friends (“Ayman Al-Sayyad” & “Abdellatif Sibari”) (both are professional photographers), followed by intensive readings, then through my practice during travels overseas where I found the eye of the camera allowed me to view my surroundings in greater depth. and made my eyes really look at my surroundings completely differently.

I have made few commercial shootings, however. I sometimes regret that I am not doing photography full time.
